The comparison was made between a 20oz bag of Medium No Grainer dog Biscuits and a 19oz box of the leading brand medium dog biscuits. The leading brand package indicated that the product contained 15% Minimum Crude Protein; the No Grainers package indicated that it contained 35% Minimum Crude Protein. By multiplying the weight of each package by its minimum crude protein level we ascertained that the leading brand biscuit contains 2.85 oz of crude protein per box (19oz*15%) and No Grainers contains 7oz of crude protein per package(20oz*35%). Therefore, in order to obtain the same amount of crude protein that exist in one package of Medium No Grainers dog biscuits, consumers would have to purchase 2.456 boxes on the leading brand of medium dog biscuit (7/2.85=2.456 boxes).
